Job Task Analysis (JTA)

A JTA is the analysis of a role to clearly outline the physical and/ or psychological requirements of a role. The findings of the JTA are delivered in a easy to read report with photographs that clearly communicate the requirements of the role with stakeholders of your business as well as external parties (doctors, physios etc).

Why do you need a JTA?

A JTA can be the foundation of your injury prevention strategy and are useful for:

  • Identifying suitable duties to facilitate an employee’s return to work

  • Communicate job demands to treating doctors, Physios and Psychologists to facilitate an employee’s recovery at work

  • Develop criteria for Pre-employment health assessments to support decisions during recruitment

  • Understanding if an employee with an injury or illness is fit to return to work (fitness for duties assessments)

  • Create job dictionaries and suitable duties registers

  • Develop manual handling training

  • Identify risk factors and hazardous manual tasks

  • Create musculoskeletal programs to improve the health and wellbeing of your staff

Psychological JTA’s

Our experienced Psychologist analyse the psychological, cognitive, emotional and psychosocial demands of a job.

With the prevalence of Psychological injuries in the workplace increasing, psychological JTA’s are also helpful when communicating the job demands with treatment providers to promote recovery and return to work.

Psychological JTA’s help with the identifying psychosocial risks within your business and can be used to develop your Health and Wellbeing strategy to support the mental health of your staff through preventative strategies.

Psychological JTA’s can be used to determine pre-employment health assessments and psychometric testing during the recruitment process.
